Desorden Público : The Ska Album Release Date
MEGA 005 : CD March 2004

A band that has been a driving force in that ska scene for a long time now, hopefully this isn't the first time you have heard of them. But if it is, then you are in for a real treat. Hailing from South America, Desorden Público having been pumping out great music for years, most of if ska or ska influenced style music. This release highlights some of their best ska tunes over the years, including some unreleased and alternate version tracks. DP are quite an interesting phenomenon, in South America, they are HUGE, their previous albums have all been released and re-released on CBS/Sony Latin for years. They constantly pack giant gantic venues, check out their live DVD to see what I am talking about. Mixing rock, reggae, ska, latin and other musical styles all into one is hard for any band to accomplish, making it sound good, is even harder! Desorden Público make it sound so easy and second natured.. Even if you can't understand the lyrics, you can definitely understand the music and appreciate it for everything that it encompasses.

MEGA 005 Cover
Long referred to as "The Latin Toasters", mainly for their historical tracking. Both bands formed very close together and have both enjoyed great success in their respective countries. Unfortunately, Desorden have yet to really break into the American scene, still unknown to some ska fans in the US. Well this cd hopes to change that and with this release, an introduction to a band that shouldn't need one by now! If you like your ska on the pop rock tip with some Latin flavours thrown in for spice, then this band is for you. There is even a guest appearance by The Special's very own Neville Staple!

Following a successful concert, a renowned scout of CBS Columbia gets in touch with the band and makes the group a contract offer.
