| Hub City Stompers hail from the "hub city" of New Brunswick, NJ. Formed in the summer of 2002 in the wasteland of the seemingly dead ska scene, these necromaniacs romanced ska's rotted corpse, playing for the love of the music rather than the popularity of it, and formed a force to be reckoned with in the New Jersey music scene. Embracing various styles and eras from the 60's through the 80's, and adding reggae, jazz, punk and even classical influences, they manage to avoid a typical, formulaic ska sound and steer clear of cliche poppy ska lyrics. Hub City Stompers' line up consists of ex-members from bands such as Inspecter 7, The Dehumanized, Tri-State Conspiracy, The Schematics, Foil and Gotham City Swing, as well as current members of Bomb Town. | |

The Hub City Stompers have their (debut?) song 'Night Of The Living' on our "MEGA 001" 4CD ska compilation. They have performed with bands including (but not limited to) The Toasters, King Django, Bigger Thomas, The Wretched Ones, Niblick Henbane, Eastern Standard Time and Streetlight Manifesto. Three of these bands are currently on the Megalith Records roster also. Since the release of this album, HCS have toured to Florida, California and Texas and back (to New Jersey) on multiple occassions. Quickly building a solid loyal fan base, the band has gone on to release a second full length with Megalith Records, release an independent CD EP and are currently about to release another EP on Stubborn Records. The band has also toured Europe alongside The Toasters in support of "Dirty Jersey", their sophomore effort on Megalith Records. |

| There are very few bands that can pull off the attitude and style that HCS portray and still be musically viable and personally enjoyable, fun people to be around. Solid musicianship and tough in cheek lyrics make this band a great addition to anyones playlist! The album is currently in its third pressing and four years later, it continues to be a top selling title. | |
