Liner Notes
Buck sez:
...if you had told me back in 1981 that the Toasters would still be around in 2004 I would have thought that you were crazy. But as it happens *you* would have been right, and I'm the one who's nuts at least that's how it feels now and again! As I scribble these lines, the Toasters are getting ready to embark on our 24th year in the biz, and I'd be lying if I said that it hasn't been one of the most amazing boat rides that I've ever been on. We have had the great luck and opportunity to play all over the world including some countries that don't even exist anymore taking this musical style that we love across international boundaries, over political fences and through language barriers, to those people who love it just as much as we do. For that we are truly grateful! With this release we will take the relatively short step north and it's our pleasure to be working with the Stomp crew again. Ska music has had its ups and downs over the years, but now there are more fans than ever before and as we raise the curtain on a new year there's a lot to look forward to. A new spirit of co-operation has come back into the scene, as epitomized by the Still Standing collaboration (www.megalithrecords.com) and the Ska Summit show in Las Vegas in March of 2003. Ska music is alive and well and we are all bands, labels, and fans alike psyched to see what the future has to bring. Every future has it's past, however, and this collection from the Toasters
