New Void Union release!

Just received the new (and debut) Void Union record from Jesse Hayes (ex-Westbound Train drummer) to be pressed and released globally by Megalith Records, both physically and digitally. Listening to the record right now and it sounds great, the production is top notch and it has many great guest artists.

Taken from the tray liner notes,

The Void Union is a collective, brought together by our love of traditional Jamaican musical styles, jazz and groove-oriented music. The project was conceptualized and created as a musical outlet and a way for us to strengthen relationships with like-minded musicians and friends worldwide.
Our concept for recording this album was to capture the essence of live studio recording. Our solution was to record the five core members live in one room, leaving open spaces for guests to add to, in the future. We spent the subsequent year setting up shop and recording our friends in houses, greenrooms and empty clubs throughout the country.
This album is our humble tribute to all of the Originators of the music we love and to all of our friends who we enjoy creating and re-creating it with so dearly.

On this record you will hear straight old school ska, slinky dub sounds, instrumental attacks and soulful vocalizations some even with sultry female stylings. So look for Void Union to drop as MEGA 037 within the next two months!
