A band that has been a driving force in that ska scene for a long time now, hopefully this isn't the first time you have heard of them. But if it is, then you are in for a real treat. Hailing from South America, Desorden Público blend native rhythms and pop ska sensibilities into one danceable sound. Singing in both Spanish and English, fans of all cultures have latched onto their music. Even if you can understand the lyrics, there is no question what the vibe and tone of the music is expressing, unity and energy! This release highlights some of their best ska tunes over the years, including some unreleased tracks and alternate version tracks.
Desorden where always the "spanish" Toasters to me when I was first getting into ska music. Not that they necessarily sound like The Toasters, but what they embody in their message and the status they have achieved and held onto in their country. Since then I have come to love this band for their vast musical skills and diversity and for their positive friendship and professionalism. This band has yet to receive the recognition in the United States that they so greatly deserve...Donde Esta el Futuro? The future of ska is right here!
