Just arrived! Awesome ska dvds! Limited quanity!
The English Beat have always been one of my favorite bands, and inspired Bucket to form The Toasters when he saw them perform in NYC and the lack of a ska scene in the late 70's early 80's. The band still plays today, as The English Beat in the United States and The Beat in the UK. This is a great live show featuring most of the original line up with the exception of Neil Deathridge on guitar and Andy Pearson on bass. Andy played bass in The Toasters for the past 3 years as well! So another Toasters connection there. There is also a special guest appearance by Ranking Junior on Mirror In The Bathroom, who is Roger's son and performs with The Beat regularly in the UK.
This 20-song performance at The Royal Festival Hall in London on February 7, 2003 is one of the last most complete band performances caught on video. Great energy and awesome recording quality. The perform all the classic hits as well as 2 brand new tunes from an unreleased recording session that has yet to surface.
