Just arrived! Awesome ska dvds! Limited quanity!
The Selecter are another UK 80's 2Tone favorite of mine! I have the pleasure of meeting Pauline Black in Vegas back in 2003 at The Ska Summit. She is such a nice person and can still sing today just like back in the day. It's great to finally get some of these down on video for all to see. This performance is from Dingwalls in London, England on February 24, 2002. The Selecter differed from the other 2Tone bands at the time, as they were a bit more structured and straight forward and didn't incorporate a horn section like the others. Bands like The English Beat, The Selecter, The Specials and Bad Manners are all why modern US ska bands exist. If these bands hadn't had modernized and loved the ska sounds from Jamaican during the 70s in the UK, then ska may have just stayed on it's little island and never made it's way to the US!
There are 15 great songs that span the groups years of recordings on here as well as a rare interview segment!
