MEGA 023 / JUMP 077
If you have been a fan of ska music since the 1990's, you should have heard of Deal's Gone Bad a few times at least. Hailing from Chicago, they have been one of the bands that didn't succumb to ever popular "ska-punk" formula of music making during media take over in the late 90's. This band continued to play in the vein of the early ska and reggae bands from Jamaica, but not in the traditional ska style that many other bands adapted as well. Deal's Gone Bad kept it real with out punking it out or speeding it up too much. After 3 full length releases and countless compilation appearances, Deal's Gone Bad have just finished up recording their first record in over 6 years! With some line up changes, including a new singer (which is a tough bit to pull off), Deal's Gone Bad have pulled through and are about to hit audiences with this great solid new album. Fans of the old won't be disappointed and new fans will be wishing they had been listening from the beginning! This release is a joint effort between JumpUp! Records and Megalith Records. Look for a limited edition Picture Disc LP version to come in April as well. You can check out a new tune on our latest Megalith European sampler as well as downloading the bands first 3 full length efforts through your favorite download source, including iTunes.
