MEGA 033 / STOMP 055
This year marks The Toasters 25th Anniversary year, a long run of this ever present driving force in the world of ska. If you don't know who the Toasters are by now, you're going to be shown! All the albums and all the tours, all the television shows and music videos, the countless band members which span the who's who in ska music, the record labels and the unforgettable tunes, they all have helped to shape this band and carry them through all the years of hard work and determination to keep (quality) ska music coming to the masses. You can not deny their history and influence on not only the US ska scene, but the scene all over the world.

"One More Bullet" 11 new tunes (ok, there is a re-version but it wouldn't be a Toasters record without one!), is full of Toasters classics sounds and some awesome surprises! This album is sure to please anyone, old and new Toasters fans alike! There are songs on here that are very much the modern Toasters sound which this generation of ska fans has come to know and embrace, but for all you vintage ska fans out there, Toasters fans from years past, you will definitely be pleased to hear what the band is churning out on this record. "Step Up" sounds like it could have been an outtake from the "Bastards" sessions, "One More Bullet" "What A Gwan" and "Where's The Freedom" are nice thick bass songs with great instrumentation reminiscent of the "Dub 56" era. "One More Bullet" remind me a bit of "New York Fever" tunes actually...Bucket and the gang get a bit experimental with composition and audio effects in "Night Train To Moscow" and we are taken all the way back to 1983 with a remake of "Run Rudy Run" which has always been a fan favorite on the reggae tip. With full 80's organ sounds from the man Dave Barry and special harmonica stylings from Spain-ish musician Claude Robillard, I really can't wait to get this tune on some crackly vinyl! Solos are also back, previous efforts have been a bit faster tunes and not allowed much space for the horn section to do little diddy's, but no fear the bands struts their stuff on this rekkid. "You're Gonna Pay" and "Life In A Bubble" were originally very "Enemy Of The System" esque until now with the addition of the keyboard, the songs have really taken a new turn and feel, not as rough and tough, more smooth and confident. Most notably I think are the vocal patterns in which Bucket has adapted these days. Just listen and you'll know what I mean, I also think he has developed a bit of a twang ;) This must be the Oklahoma influence!!

Last but not least we see living in Spain having is hold on Bucket's lyrical writings with "El Chopo" and getting back to the "Hard Band" ways of covers, The Toasters have reached back in the great Rock and Soul of early American recordings and come up with an awesome rendition of Dave Clark's "Bits And Pieces" and so Bucket can fit a song about love into the mix "When Will I Be Loved" by the Everly Brothers takes the second cover slot. (Oh yea there is also some Blues Brothers thrown in there but that's pretty obvious from the title of the song!) Look for this record to be released on a limited Picture LP in the coming months as well as a possible remixing EP!
